Ministry Details: The majority of your service in this adventure will take place in Kawangware, one of Kenya's largest slums. You will be tasked with reaching out to Kawangware's poverty-stricken residents in engaging ways such as through skits, sports, medical clinics, vacation Bible school, Bible studies, church services, prayer walks, relational evangelism, and other unique means. As well as group devotional time each morning. Pastor Oliver will lead the Festival of Learning with over 150 Pastors from the surrounding area in attendance.
This trip includes museum visits and a one day safari to The Masai Mara National Reserve— Elegant, living quarters with viewing decks in a refined lodge offering dining & free game drives. Imagine the possibility of seeing a Lion steal a Cheetah's kill. This journey promises to be unlike any other you've ever been on, and will not leave you unchanged.
Participant Profile: Applicants with a medical/ dental/ teaching or pastoral background are especially encouraged. Prices include travel costs, accommodation, meals at the Methodist Guest House, and ministry costs.
Finance Deadlines: $1650 deposit due by July 31, 2017 - $1650 balance due by Aug 31, 2017
The Kenya mission trip requires a visa in additional to immunizations and malaria medication. The visa costs an additional $55 USD for US citizens.
