"Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one! "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. "These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.” (Deuteronomy 6:4-7)

She said, "Oh, my lord! As your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood here beside you, praying to the LORD. "For this boy I prayed, and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of Him. "So I have also dedicated him to the LORD; as long as he lives he is dedicated to the LORD " And he worshiped the LORD there.

(1 Samuel 1:26-28)

Dedicating your baby is an exciting faith milestone to celebrate. It allows your church family to witness and support parents as they make a public statement that they will train their children in the Christian faith and ultimately seek to instill that faith in them.

Child dedication is not baptism, but is instead a public expression of your desire to follow God and raise your child to love Jesus. By choosing to have your child dedicated, you are making a declaration that your child belongs to God and you are committed to teaching biblical values to your family. You are also inviting the church community to be part of your child’s faith journey and spiritual development.
